Wheat Ridge Colorado Subdivisions – Featured Neighborhoods
Applewood Knolls is beautiful neighborhood located in Wheat Ridge at 26th Ave. and Youngfield. It was originally an apple orchard. In the early 1950s construction began on the homes and lasted through the 1970s. You won’t find any “cookie-cutter”” homes in this neighborhood. The lots are large with mature landscaping. Applewood Knolls Swim and Tennis Club is a great place to spend those long, summer days.
Olinger Gardens was named for George Olinger who was a successful entrepeneur in the area in the early 19th Century. There are older homes, many that have been remodeled and updated along with homes built within the past 10 years. It is within walking distance of Sloan’s Lake and the surrounding shops and businesses.
Skyline Estates is a great neighborhood located north of I-70 and west of Kipling. There is an active HOA board that works very hard to maintain the well-cared for atmosphere you will find when you drive into the subdivision. There are 318 homes in the neighborhood. And, Stenger Sports Complex is just to the south. You will find newer homes, many with three car garages.
