A Cranberry Facial Mask is perfect for the holiday season. All of the ingredients are readily available. And, it’s pretty!
Mixture several batches, package in plastic bags or plastic containers. Add a tag, directions and ribbon. Give to all the women you know – and men, too!
The mask acts as an exfoliant due to the acid in the fruit. Vitamins A and C will help increase collagen production. Cranberries help fight free radicals and help keep moisture in. This can help with winkles due to the free radicals.
Because of the acids in the Cranberry Facial Mask, you might want to test a small amount on the inside of your arm just to make sure your skin can tolerate the ingredients.
1 cup fresh cranberries
1 cup seedless red grapes
2 teaspoons grapefruit juice
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
Directions to make:
1. Rinse the cranberries and grapes.
2. Put all the ingredients in a blender and puree until you have a paste-like mixture.
3. Cover and place in refrigerator for 30-45 minutes to allow mixture to thicken.
4. Remove and allow the mixture to come to room temperature.
Directions for use:
Pin your hair back from your face.
Wash your face to remove all traces of make-up and dirt. Dry it completely.
(You should probably wear an old shirt or wrap up in a towel as the scrub can stain your clothes.)
Apply the Cranberry Facial Mask beginning at your chin and work your way up. Avoid getting any in your eyes.
Relax for 15-20 minutes.
Rinse off Cranberry Facial Mask with warm water.
Smile and enjoy your day!
