Land Title graciously provided this information for agents awhile ago. When you received the title work on a transaction, it is full of information that generally is difficult to read unless you know what it all means.
Read through this and then you can help your client decipher the title work. It is really important to: 1) make sure the names on the title work match the names on the purchase contract, 2) the price of the property is correct and 3) the amount owed on the property is less than the purchase price – so that there is money to pay all that needs to be paid – ESPECIALLY YOU!
